Uki keeps cookies to a minimum. We use only what is needed to run the service, plus a little optional, anonymous analytics. We set no advertising cookies and do no cross-site tracking. This page lists exactly what is stored, why, and how to control it. Uki is operated by Open Shore, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“Uki,” “we,” “us”).
The short version
- Essential cookies keep sign-in, secure checkout, and bot protection working. They cannot be turned off.
- Analytics are anonymous and never identify you. The in-app kind is optional, and you control it.
- We use no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and no ad networks.
Essential cookies
These are required for Uki to work. Without them you cannot sign in or check out. Our lawful basis is performance of our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.
- Supabase authentication session. Set once you sign in, so you stay signed in. It is what keeps your account, library, and settings tied to you across pages.
- Stripe fraud prevention. Set by Stripe only when you begin a checkout, to protect the payment against fraud. It is not set while you are only browsing.
- Cloudflare Turnstile. A privacy-first bot check on our forms, such as the reservation and waitlist forms. It protects the site from automated abuse.
Optional analytics
Analytics help us understand, in aggregate, what works. They are anonymous. The in-app kind you can turn off anytime. Our website's counts set no cookie and store no identifier.
- In-app usage events. The Uki app can record anonymous, first-party usage events to its own Supabase tables to help us improve features. This is off until you turn on “Share anonymous analytics” in the app and accept the in-app cookie banner. Our lawful basis is your consent, and you can withdraw it anytime in Settings.
- Marketing site beacon. Our website records anonymous, aggregate counts of page views and button taps. It sends only an event name and the page path to edge.uki.audio/analytics. It sets no cookie and stores no identifier. Cloudflare derives a coarse country from your IP address so we get a rough sense of where interest comes from. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding, in aggregate, which pages resonate.
On-device storage (not cookies)
A few things are kept in your browser using localStorage. These live on your device only. They are not cookies, and they are never sent to us.
- A waitlist entry, so you are not asked to join the same list twice.
- The app's cookie-consent choice, so we remember what you decided.
- App interface state, such as your last view and filters.
What we do NOT do
- No third-party advertising cookies.
- No cross-site or cross-app tracking.
- No Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no ad networks.
How to control cookies and analytics
- In the app. Settings holds the “Share anonymous analytics” toggle and your cookie-banner choice. Turn analytics off there anytime.
- In your browser. Standard browser cookie controls let you block or clear cookies for uki.audio. Essential cookies are needed for sign-in and checkout, so blocking them stops those from working.
